Fred Ajudua dragged to court by the EFCC in Lagos

One of Nigeria's slickest fraudsters, Chijindu Fred Ajudua is yet again in the arms of the law after the EFCC re-arraigned him before a Lagos high court yesterday for 28 counts of Fraud.

Ajudua was arraigned for reportedly defrauding a former Chief of Army Staff, General Bamaiyi Ishaya(ret). EFCC claims Ajudua defrauded Bamaiyi of $9.3 million while the two men where in detention in kirikiri maximum prisons between Novemeber 2004 and April 2005. Bamaiyi reportedly paid Ajudua the cash in different transactions after Ajudua had claimed he could scuttle the case against the former military general.

Ajudua, a lawyer by profession, pleaded 'not guilty' and the presiding Judge, Toyin Ipaye adjourned the case to January 2015. He was recently exonerated by the federal high court in Abuja, from a case involving 2 dutch men he allegedly defrauded.
